Zandpier

Seeds from local plants found shelter around our 70 m long Zandpier installation. Planting design done by wind achieved unpredictable beauty. Natural flows as seeds carried by the wind made physically evident in the installation. A micro biotope crawls through it’s pores and creates layers of memory on the vacant sand plane. Temporary place-becoming installation creating memories for an entire new neighbourhood. Boy called Elliott will miss it for running and hiding, but the main road for the new neighbourhood is coming precisely there and the installation makes place for it.

Temporary installation portrayed from the air (google).
